The Position
The price and product comparison site VERTAA.FI is part of the Compare Holding operating branches in various European countries. In Finland, VERTAA.FI is the market leader.
The Label Manager is responsible for maintaining this position by further developing the site, managing operations and expanding the business. This involves experience and appetence for online traffic, web shops acquisition and management, site configuration and people management.
As the ideal candidate, you will be fully accountable for the success of VERTAA and optimization of the various profit centers.
In order to achieve your goals, you rely on the expertise centers from the International organization based in the Netherlands (Traffic, Marketing, IT). The aim is to keep and extend VERTAA’s market leading position in Finland. For this purpose, you keep up with the e-commerce and marketing developments.
Your home base is the head office in Helsinki, Finland or Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Responsibilities and Tasks
• Create shared revenue deals
• Responsible for media sales (external agency)
• Manage and execute administrative procedures
• Create, monitor and reach the yearly budget (turnover, cost analysis, contribution margin, profit)
• Initiate, plan and execute events/campaigns
• P&L responsibility for the (sub)-categories assigned to you for VERTAA.FI
• Create, maintain and update the Category Management plan
• Manage directly and coach a team of 5
Your talent in management will mobilize your team to ensure
• The increase in number of webshops connected to VERTAA.FI in a profitable way
• The management of the webshop process
• The traffic acquisition and the loyalty of the visitors
• The quality of the site (Amount of products, content)
Education / Experience
• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Economics or Communication
• The ideal candidate has a background in online retail as website/shop manager
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in Internet or similar environment with a good understanding of Internet business models
• Experience in working with clients at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional presentation
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with Analytical and/or Statistical software
• You have a proven track record in reaching your targets
• You have a Finnish nationality
• You speak proficient Finnish and English (Swedish a plus)
