Ben Kerkhof, Chief Executive Officer
Ben is 40 years old and father of four kids. Ben had several commercial functions within the Finnish telecom industry before he joined Compare Group in 2003 in the role of CEO. His passion is to realize Compare Group’s objective of international growth. Setting the right goals, being and thinking creatively and, working together with the super team that works at Compare Group, are all important parts of making this dream come true.
Things that inspire Ben are the books Good to Great, by Jim Collins, and Now Discover Your Strengths, by Marcus Buckingham. Ben: “Doing things brilliantly takes about as much effort as doing things averagely. With just a little extra attention and thinking we can excel. Especially when you work in a team where everyone knows their own, and each other’s strengths. Doing the things you do best is more fun, you achieve better results, and instead of taking, it brings you energy. Together with Compare Group’s team I want to make Compare Group a great company.”

Joris Verwater, Senior Traffic Manager
After finishing his studies at the Arnhem Business School, Joris worked as a software developer at CSR Europe in Brussels, an EG aliased NGO. After working in several other software engineer positions within KPN and Planet Internet Joris joined Compare Group in 2003. He fulfilled several roles within the company, before discovering his true passion and strengths: data driven marketing, web analytics and traffic. “Analyzing visitor behavior in order to maximize user-experience and revenue is an everlasting challenge. All the answers can be found within figures and data. Finding out why visitors behave like they do can make a real difference!”

Mark Gaasbeek, Chief Operational Officer
Mark is 34 years old and father of two daughters. In 2001 he graduated HEAO Commercial Economics at the Hogeschool of Amsterdam. He started his career at the B2B sales department of telecom provider Tiscali. His interest in technology, processes and product-market combinations quickly drove him to the product management role. Starting his career at Compare Group in 2007 he worked in different roles and positions. Including the inception of the current platform of Compare Group. As of november 2010 he holds the position of COO.
